Senior AWS Engineer

Join an established technology business where you’ll take broad ownership across AWS, Linux, security, infrastructure and internal systems.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across a wide technical environment rather than sitting in one narrow lane.

The opportunity

You’ll work closely with the existing infrastructure lead across a production cloud environment spanning Australia, Japan and the US.

The role covers a mix of cloud engineering, Linux systems, security, compliance and internal IT, with the opportunity to take ownership of key areas as you learn the environment.

You’ll work across:

• AWS infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring and backups
• Linux systems administration and production troubleshooting
• Networking including DNS, VPNs and secure access
• Security across IAM, least privilege, vulnerability management, logging and incident readiness
• Terraform and infrastructure automation
• Docker and ECS workloads
• Identity, access management and internal IT systems
• ISO 27001 controls, access reviews and governance
• Databricks security, access and operational support
• Cloud cost management and optimisation

What we’re looking for

You’ll likely come from a cloud, infrastructure, systems or platform engineering background and be comfortable taking ownership across a broad environment.

You should bring:

• Strong hands-on AWS experience
• Good Linux administration and troubleshooting skills
• Solid networking fundamentals
• Practical security experience across IAM, access controls and cloud security
• Exposure to Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool
• Confidence working across unfamiliar systems and solving operational problems
• A willingness to work across infrastructure, security and internal technology rather than specialising in just one area
