Title: Senior Backend & AdTech Integration Engineer

Location: Near Bahria Town, Lahore

Timings: 6 PM to 2 AM

We are looking for a Senior Backend & AdTech Integration Engineer to build the services connecting our digital media players, cloud platform, and advertising ecosystem.

This engineer will focus on backend services, SSP integrations, advertising transactions, Proof-of-Play processing, reconciliation, auditing, and platform APIs.

Prior AdTech experience is strongly preferred but is not mandatory for an exceptional backend/distributed-systems engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build cloud backend services and APIs.
• Integrate with SSP and advertising platforms.
• Implement ad-request and response workflows.
• Build Proof-of-Play ingestion and processing.
• Build reconciliation workflows.
• Implement audit trails.
• Develop telemetry and event-processing services.
• Design data models.
• Implement event-driven processing.
• Build APIs consumed by Raspberry Pi players.
• Implement idempotent processing and retry mechanisms.
• Support media metadata and playlist services.
• Build automated tests.
• Implement application-level monitoring.
• Work with the Platform Engineer on AWS deployment and infrastructure.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript.
• REST APIs.
• JSON.
• HTTP and networking fundamentals.
• AWS serverless development.
• Event-driven architectures.
• SQS, EventBridge, or comparable messaging technology.
• SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Distributed-systems fundamentals.
• Automated testing.
• Git/GitHub.

What This Person Must Be Able to Do:

Scenario:

A Raspberry Pi determines that an advertising opportunity exists and sends an SSP request. The ad plays and generates Proof-of-Play data.

Requirement:

The engineer should be capable of designing the complete transaction lifecycle, from opportunity detection and request handling through response, playback, Proof-of-Play, reconciliation, and auditing, while accounting for failures, duplicate events, latency, and network interruptions.

Furthermore, the engineer should be able to explain how the player continues playback, stores Proof-of-Play events locally, manages its cache, and synchronizes outstanding events after connectivity is restored without losing or duplicating data.
