Senior Backend

We are a profitable, fast-growing technology company with customers worldwide. We are rebuilding our billing and subscription systems and need a senior backend engineer to lead the work. You will build the new platform, move the live business onto it safely, and report directly to the CTO.

What You Will Do

• Build a billing and entitlement ledger on Postgres
• Manage the full subscription lifecycle (renewals, upgrades, proration, cancellation) across Stripe and Razorpay
• Build reliable webhook pipelines and daily reconciliation
• Handle refunds, disputes and credits accurately
• Provide clean data for accounting, reporting and analytics
• Own the checkout and account management screens (TypeScript/React)
• Migrate the live business from the legacy system in phases

What You Bring

• 6+ years of backend engineering, with strong hands-on Golang
• Strong relational data modelling and SQL skills
• Experience in fintech or payments: gateway integration, webhooks, subscriptions, refunds and disputes
• Knowledge of reconciliation, revenue recognition, tax (GST/IGST) and ledger design
• Experience with a B2B product that has billing complexity (metering, plans, multi-tenant)
• Comfort working in TypeScript/React
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to work from the Chennai office

Nice to Have

• Trading or capital markets exposure
• Multi-currency billing experience
• Experience migrating a legacy system while live
