Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer (.NET 8 / C#) to join our development team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable, secure, high-performance, and scalable backend systems using .NET 8 and C#.

You will work closely with Frontend, QA, Product, and other development teams to build and continuously improve production systems.

Candidates with experience in scalable systems, high-traffic applications, high-concurrency environments, or distributed systems will be highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using .NET 8 and C#.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API.

• Design backend solutions with performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability in mind.

• Integrate with internal services and third-party APIs.

• Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and production-ready code following engineering best practices and coding standards.

• Collaborate with Frontend, QA, Product, and other development teams to define, develop, test, and deliver new features.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production incidents, performance bottlenecks, and integration issues.

• Optimize backend services, APIs, database queries, caching strategies, and overall application performance.

• Participate in code reviews and maintain consistent coding and engineering standards across the development team.

• Participate in requirement analysis, technical discussions, system design, and architecture decisions.

• Design and maintain efficient database structures, queries, stored procedures, and indexes.

• Maintain technical documentation including APIs, system architecture, deployment procedures, and technical specifications.

• Continuously evaluate technologies and engineering practices that improve system performance, scalability, stability, and development efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of backend development experience, preferably using .NET technologies.

• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET 8 / modern .NET.

• Experience developing backend services using ASP.NET Core Web API.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles.

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and relational database design.

• Good understanding of SQL queries, stored procedures, indexing, query optimization, and database performance tuning.

• Experience integrating with third-party APIs and external services.

• Good understanding of frontend-backend integration and modern web application architecture.

• Understanding of API authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, and data exchange.

• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional development team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing and developing scalable backend systems.

• Experience working with high-traffic and high-concurrency applications.

• Hands-on experience with horizontal scaling, load balancing, caching, and distributed systems.

• Experience with Redis or other distributed caching technologies.

• Understanding of microservices architecture and service-to-service communication.

• Experience with backend and database performance optimization.

• Understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, and resilient system design.

• Experience designing or maintaining systems that process a high volume of real-time requests or transactions.

• Experience with asynchronous programming and concurrent processing in .NET.

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js is an advantage.

• Familiarity with JavaScript / TypeScript and modern frontend-backend integration.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing practices.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Experience deploying and scaling .NET 8 applications in cloud environments.

• Experience with Docker and containerised applications.

• Experience deploying and managing .NET applications using Docker.

• Familiarity with Docker Compose and container registries.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or other container orchestration technologies.

• Experience implementing or maintaining microservices-based systems.

• Experience integrating application deployments into CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with application monitoring, logging, and production troubleshooting.

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, auto scaling, load balancing, and distributed application architecture.
