Please note that this is a temporary position intended to provide maternity leave cover.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly interactive, scalable web apps and prototypes
• Implement messaging solutions
• Develop and deploy applications
• Prepare functional specifications and test data
• Work with DevOps engineers to integrate new code into existing continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery/deployment (CD) pipelines
• Participate actively in agile delivery environments, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of code, processes, and architectural decisions
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features and enhancements
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in microservices, Java, and Spring Boot technologies, and incorporate them into development practices

Your Energy

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field
• 5+ years of experience in Java development with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience building microservices with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of REST APIs, SOA, and API orchestration
• Experience with JUnit, Maven, and Git
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Azure
• Experience with messaging systems (MQTT is a plus)
• Familiarity with Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript
