Backend Engineer — Tokyo (Hybrid)

Starting Salary Range: 5,500,000 ~ 10,000,000 JPY

Japanese level required: Business level(N2)

◆Requirements (Must Have)

• 3+ years of practical experience in backend development, operations, and maintenance for web services
• 3+ years of development experience using programming languages and frameworks
• Experience developing APIs based on business workflows and requirements
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD
• Business-level Japanese skills

◆Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in system design, including requirements definition and technology selection
• Experience developing applications at a B2C service company
• Knowledge of frameworks such as Spring Boot
• Knowledge of web apps and hybrid apps (JavaScript)
• Knowledge of common NoSQL solutions such as Redis
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Knowledge of backend security

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and improving new applications for both customers and administrators.

Details include:

• Participating in the development and design of core project code, monitoring the stability and performance of core systems, optimizing performance, designing/refactoring/optimizing system architecture, and designing interfaces between products
• Participating in the design of key modules, as well as their development and implementation
• Contributing to the identification of technical challenges and the formulation of countermeasures, while continuously improving the processing performance of core systems in line with the growth of the product business scale
