Senior Backend Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing?

• Develop server-side logic and APIs for web/mobile applications; provide coaching, guidance, and support.
• Work with front-end developers and user experience designers to design, develop and deploy high-quality software solutions.
• Design and implement system architecture with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Develop it yourself, ensuring code quality and best practices are followed.
• Work with product managers to align development methodologies based on waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet internal requirements and industry standards.

What We’re Looking For?

• 5+ years of IT experience, focusing on back-end development.
• Proficient in Node.js with hands-on development experience. (Familiar with Golang and interested are preferred)
• Event/message-driven architecture: Experience with domain-driven design and event/message-driven architecture (e.g. MQ, Kafka).
• Microservices and Caching: Expertise in microservices and caching technologies.
• Database management: Proficient in relational databases and file databases, especially large-capacity data processing.
• Familiar with waterfall and agile methodologies, and able to adapt to different project management styles.
• Excellent teamwork skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Good communication skills in Cantonese and English (written and oral).
• Understanding AIoT, Digital Twin, FM systems in the construction industry is a plus.
