Senior Backend Engineer || Remote || Node.js,GraphQL,AWS stack

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and optimize scalable backend applications and APIs using Node.js.
• Design high-performance systems capable of handling millions of requests daily.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, Fargate), and Docker.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and improve system reliability.
• Refactor and enhance existing codebases for scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and support teams.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best engineering practices.

Required Skills:

• 5-9 years of backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and Docker.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, system design, scalability, and distributed systems.
• Experience debugging and supporting production applications.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience with GraphQL and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to high-scale SaaS products and cloud-native systems.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies/frameworks.
• Prior startup experience is a plus.
