Senior Backend Engineer - Prompt Security (Node.js / TypeScript)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer - Prompt Security (Node.js / TypeScript) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on building secure, scalable backend systems that support prompt-related security capabilities within a modern technology environment. You will partner closely with frontend and other engineering teams to deliver reliable APIs, strengthen data protection, and improve overall platform performance. The position calls for hands-on technical leadership in backend architecture, microservices, and cloud-based deployment practices.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $132,000 – $182,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs
• Implement and optimize database schemas and queries
• Collaborate with frontend developers for seamless integration
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
• Troubleshoot and debug existing systems while implementing upgrades
• Enforce security and data protection measures
• Utilize cloud services for deploying and managing backend services

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience in Node.js and TypeScript
• Proficient in database management
• Experience developing and integrating APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus
• Skilled in designing and implementing microservices
• Experienced in scalability and performance optimization
• Knowledge of authentication and data protection mechanisms
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
