Senior Backend Software Engineer

• We are looking for a strong Backend Senior Software Engineer who wants to create deep and meaningful product engagement experiences! We have an increasing user base, and you will be focusing on implementing and enhancing our investment and financial products. • Paid parental leave- In order to take on this mission we’re building our applications on modern web technologies around HTML/CSS/Javascript/React, NodeJS/Typescript, PostgreSQL, Amazon Lambdas and Kinesis etc. You should be comfortable in contributing to every part of the stack: from UI to API development, to complex integrations with financial institutions and partners, and building infrastructure, but you will be expected to be focused mostly on backend development
• You should feel comfortable in a fast paced, growing, and nimble environment, keeping in mind that everything we do is to better the lives of our users!
• 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong backend development background
• Passion for technology and a continuous learner mindset
• Someone who isn’t afraid of responsibility, a good sense of humor and a down-to-earth personality
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges
• Proven experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance web applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• Strong fundamental understanding of relational Databases (Postgresql, Mysql)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and DevOps practices is a plus
• Motivated to leverage new AI tools and technologies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Able to model and design intuitive and scalable schemas
• Proven experience on building backend services with high availability and scalability requirements
• Strong experience with Javascript, Typescript and Node.js
• Experience with agile/scrum development methodologies
