Senior Backup & Storage Engineer

We are looking for aSenior Storage & Backup Engineerto join our dynamic team! As a Senior Engineer you will be responsible for providing Level 3 technical support for backup, storage, and server infrastructure within the managed environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide Level 3 technical support and SME expertise for enterprise backup and SAN storage environments.
• Support VMware, Windows and Linux environments, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades and operational activities.
• Manage enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including backup configuration, restore troubleshooting and periodic recovery testing.
• Lead the resolution of complex incidents, problems and escalations, including root cause analysis and cross-functional troubleshooting.
• Perform infrastructure health checks, patching, security remediation, log analysis and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct capacity planning, performance optimization and forecasting for backup, storage and server platforms.
• Lead and support infrastructure projects, change initiatives, disaster recovery activities and service improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, runbooks, infrastructure diagrams, asset inventories and knowledge-base articles.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and service enhancement.

Who We’re looking for?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 6–7 years of experience in backup and storage infrastructure, including 3 years in a professional services environment.
• Strong hands-on Level 3 experience in Backup and SAN Storage.
• Level 2 support experience with VMware, ESXi, vCenter, Windows and Linux.
• Experience supporting server hardware, tape libraries, backup tapes and enterprise storage systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, monitoring, file systems, networking, firewalls and cybersecurity.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, as the role supports users in China.
