Senior Bar Staff

We are recruiting at The Commercial Inn, Pontymister; a multi-award winning independent free-house that has been run by the same family for the past 27 years.

We are looking for fun, passionate and hard-working Staff (18+ only) to join our friendly, close-knit team at the Commercial; with full and part time positions available.

We are especially interested in those with Management and Kitchen experience; with opportunities for additional roles and responsibilities to be performed (salary adjusted accordingly).

Bar Staff Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take drink orders and serve beverages promptly and accurately.
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of our menu offerings, including daily specials.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a kitchen, restaurant or bar setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong bartending skills, including knowledge of various drink recipes and techniques.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
