The Role

As a Senior BAS Accountant, you'll play an integral role in the day-to-day management of a varied client base, delivering expert BAS accounting services, including tax planning, compliance, and advisory support. You'll guide a small team, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting, and help your clients thrive with tailored financial advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality BAS services
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and GST returns
• Provide strategic tax advice and financial planning to clients, helping them make informed business decisions
• Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and technical support
• Stay up-to-date on tax legislation and industry trends to ensure compliance

About You

• CA or CPA qualified
• 4-5+ years of public practice experience with a strong background in BAS accounting
• A deep understanding of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory
• Experience in managing client portfolios and leading teams
• Proficient with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and similar platforms
