About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Biomedical Engineer to work at GIMS Hospital, Greater Noida through our third-party/contractual association.

The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and overall management of biomedical and medical equipment used across various hospital departments. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with hospital equipment, and the ability to coordinate effectively with hospital staff and service vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical equipment.

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical equipment.

• Troubleshoot equipment such as ventilators, patient monitors, ECG machines, infusion pumps, defibrillators, anesthesia machines, and other critical-care equipment.

• Monitor the functioning and performance of medical equipment across ICU, OT, Emergency, Wards, and other hospital departments.

• Maintain proper records of equipment, service reports, preventive maintenance schedules, breakdowns, and repairs.

• Coordinate with OEMs, authorized service providers, and vendors for equipment servicing and repairs.

• Ensure timely resolution of equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.

• Conduct regular equipment inspections and safety checks.

• Assist in calibration and electrical safety checks of biomedical equipment.

• Support the hospital team in evaluating technical specifications for new medical equipment.

• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, technicians, and other hospital departments regarding equipment-related requirements.

• Train and guide hospital staff on the safe and proper use of medical equipment whenever required.

• Supervise and guide junior biomedical engineers/technicians.

• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with hospital procedures and safety standards.

• Assist in biomedical equipment inventory and asset management.

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech/B.E. in Biomedical Engineering.

• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering may be considered based on relevant experience.

• Required Experience & Skills

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in hospital biomedical engineering or medical equipment service.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of hospital medical equipment.

• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Experience handling critical-care and OT equipment will be preferred.

• Good vendor coordination and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with hospital departments.

• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Important Note

This is a third-party/contractual position. The selected candidate will be deployed at GIMS Hospital, Greater Noida, through the associated third-party organization. Employment/payroll will be managed by the third-party organization and not directly by GIMS Hospital.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
