Senior BMC Engineer

The Position:
The Senior BMC Engineer is responsible for the design, development, integration, and debugging of Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) firmware and platform management features for hyperscale server products. This role works closely with hardware, software, validation teams, and customers to deliver reliable server management solutions and support product development throughout the lifecycle.

The Responsibilities of the Role:

• Design, develop, and maintain BMC firmware features for Intel, AMD, and storage server platforms.
• Execute BMC feature implementation, integration, validation, and release activities according to product requirements.
• Debug and resolve firmware, hardware, platform management, and system-level issues during development and production phases.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain design specifications, technical documentation, and development deliverables.
• Work closely with BIOS, hardware, validation, and system engineering teams to ensure successful product integration.
• Support customer issue investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in firmware quality, development efficiency, and platform reliability.

The Requirement for the Role:

• Required Qualifications

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
o 5+ years of experience in server platform and BMC firmware development.
o Hands-on experience with embedded software development using C/C++.
o Good understanding of Intel and AMD server architectures.
o Experience with server management technologies such as IPMI, Redfish, MCTP, PLDM, or related protocols.
o Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across firmware, hardware, and system integration.
o Experience collaborating with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
o Strong communication skills in English.

• Preferred Qualifications

o OpenBMC development experience.
o Linux embedded system development experience.
o Knowledge of server storage technologies and management frameworks.
o Experience supporting hyperscale or cloud server products.
