Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheets regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems to maintain organized records.
• Support governmental and non-profit accounting requirements by adhering to specific standards and reporting protocols.
• Assist with financial report writing, budget analysis, and audit preparation to ensure compliance and transparency.
• Conduct account analysis using spreadsheets and other tools to monitor financial health and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper with strong knowledge of accounting systems and software including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and related financial tools.
• Extensive understanding of accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with GAAP standards, governmental accounting practices, and non-profit accounting procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and financial report writing accurately.
• Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or equivalent), 10-key typing proficiency, and technical accounting competencies.
• Experience with payroll processing, tax preparation, account reconciliation processes, and budgeting is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex financial data efficiently while maintaining high accuracy standards.

Pay: $31.19 - $37.56 per hour
