Senior Bookkeeper

Job Summary

Western New York-based technology company is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our in-office team. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel. In this full-time, salaried role, you will be involved in key financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, tax compliance, year-end financial preparation, regular internal reporting, and the management of internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight: Manage the General Ledger and prepare regular financial reports to management.
• Quality Control: Oversee quality control of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), aging, collections, and Purchase Orders (PO).
• Tax & Compliance: Monthly sales tax preparation and filing.
• Year-End Preparation: Lead the preparation of year-end financials for our external accounting firm.
• Internal Controls: Maintain, develop, and enforce internal accounting controls and policies.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Interface seamlessly with administration, accounting staff, and other departments, alongside other potential tasks as needed by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification: Active CPA is a plus.
• Software Proficiency: Strong, demonstrated experience utilizing QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
