Senior Business Analyst - Project Based (8 Months)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support business and technology initiatives through requirements analysis, process improvement, system implementation, and stakeholder coordination. The role will work closely with business users, project teams, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective system and process solutions.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in business analysis, process mapping, requirements gathering, UAT, and enterprise application implementation, preferably with exposure to HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or workforce management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business users and key stakeholders.

• Analyze business requirements, existing processes, and system capabilities to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.

• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable functional requirements and system specifications.

• Develop and maintain business analysis documentation, including:

  • Business Rules Documentation
  • Process Design Documents
  • Process Maps
  • Work Instructions
  • Business and Functional Requirements
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria

• Map current and future-state business processes and recommend improvements where appropriate.

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that business requirements are properly understood and translated into system solutions.

• Support HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and workforce management system implementations from planning through deployment and go-live.

• Develop and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test scenarios, test cases, issue tracking, and validation of system results.

• Work with users and technical teams to investigate, document, and resolve system issues and requirement-related concerns.

• Validate system functionality against approved business requirements and process specifications.

• Participate in system implementation activities, including configuration review, data validation, testing, deployment preparation, and go-live support.

• Monitor project requirements, dependencies, issues, and changes throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical/project teams to ensure alignment.

• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, system efficiency, and user experience.

• Support Agile project activities such as requirements refinement, sprint planning, backlog discussions, demos, and retrospectives.

• Maintain accurate project and requirements documentation throughout the system lifecycle.

• Provide post-implementation support and assist in identifying further system and process enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, HRIS implementation, or a related field.

• Experience supporting projects from requirements gathering through implementation and go-live.

• Experience with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or workforce management systems is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.

• Working knowledge of tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, SQL, and Power BI.

• Knowledge of end-to-end HR processes and enterprise application implementation is an advantage.
