Senior Business Intelligence Developer

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Data & BI Engineer to support the design, development and ongoing evolution of our Microsoft Fabric data platform. Working closely with the Head of Group Applications, the role will help build the technical foundations of the platform, integrate data from multiple business systems, develop curated and reusable datasets, and deliver analytical solutions through Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

This is a technical delivery role with the opportunity to help shape a growing group-wide data capability. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, solving complex data problems and contributing ideas and technical recommendations rather than simply working from detailed specifications.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong practical experience in data engineering, BI engineering or a similar technical data role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or closely related Microsoft Azure data technologies.
• Strong SQL skills, including data transformation and relational/dimensional data modelling.
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Experience working with Lakehouse and/or modern data platform architectures.
• Experience with Python, PySpark and/or Spark SQL
• Good understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling concepts.
• Experience integrating data from multiple source systems.
• Ability to independently investigate technical problems and propose appropriate solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Comfortable working within an evolving environment where standards and solutions are still being developed.

The role will work as part of an international team, so fluent professional English is required as is working full time on site. No REMOTE working
