PLEASE NOTE: Hybrid: 2–3 days/week, B2B, collaboration12 months.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
• Organise workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Assess the impact of changes on existing processes, systems, and data flows.
• Define business rules, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and Data Science teams on the design and implementation of Databricks data flows.
• Analyse data sources, source-to-target mappings, and transformation rules.
• Contribute to data modelling and information architecture.
• Understand and document ETL/ELT processes developed in Databricks.
• Define data-quality rules and operational controls.
• Ensure end-to-end data traceability, from source systems to reporting.
• Prepare test scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing.
• Validate implementation results together with business stakeholders.
• Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and support their resolution.
• Ensure that delivered solutions meet the agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.

Tools / Software Knowledge & Competencies

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Data & Analytics projects.
• Practical experience with Azure Databricks.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Experience working closely with Data Engineering teams.
• Good understanding of:
• Data Lakes and Data Warehouses
• ETL and ELT processes
• Delta Lake
• Data Governance
• Data Quality
• Data lineage and traceability
• Experience with data mapping, business process modelling, gap analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Working experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Azure Data Factory experience is considered an advantage.
• Experience with Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau is considered an advantage.

Education & Soft Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and data ecosystems.
• Excellent communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation quality.
• Results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to prioritise and work effectively in dynamic environments.
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
