Senior Buyer, Procurement NPM

该职位来源于猎聘 Objectives: The buyer will take responsibility in procurement projects of non-production material and services The buyer will :

• Effectively and efficiently lead the complex procurement projects of non-production material and services in China, including but not limited to IT and RD commodities.
• Proactively collaborate with Business Units (BU), implement purchase planning, understand the purpose and needs, drive market investigation and identify potential supplier set jointly with BU, conduct price plausibility check, and work out Negotiation Design, jointly conduct supplier performance review.
• Have close communication with Regional and Global Commodity Manager to understand and implement commodity strategy, early involve Regional and Global Commodity Manager in the coming projects and ensure the alignment.
• Demonstrated leadership ability along future Mercedes-Benz leadership principles. To lead complex projects, co-create with other departments, provide management reliable decision support. To be capable of learning and self-reflecting.
• Actively participate in strategic projects like department strategy etc., contribute initiatives and feedback, execute accordingly.
• Actively share knowledge with peers in the location or across the region
• Guarantee the compliance conformity of the purchasing activities and their alignment with the procurement guidelines, company rules and external regulations
• Perform risk assessments and improve supplier related quality, timing, cost and innovation Main Tasks:
• Effectively and efficiently lead the complex procurement projects of of non-production material and services in China, including but not limited to IT and RD commodities. RFQ-process, price plausibility check, negotiation design, sourcing recommendation, management summary, issuing contract: Execute Mercedes-Benz NPM principle; ensure execution of compliance policy; Supplier evaluation; Prepare RFQ document by collecting specs/drawings / terms and conditions; Manage RFQ process; Answer suppliers’ commercial questions and obtain missing data; Manage interfaces; Conduct price plausibility check by using price plausibility baseline Prepare negotiation design, Lead /conduct negotiations; Prepare Award Discussion, report and communicate with MP NPM top management; Provide Management Summary to MP NPM management, report and get Sourcing Recommendation approval Active collaboration with internal business partners and ensure sourcing decision proposals are aligned with internal business partners; Co-creation with other departments Issue Contracts Continuous improvement on efficiency and effectiveness

• Collaboration with suppliers Ensure Mercedes-Benz compliance, integrity are implemented; conduct RFI, RFQ, negotiate prices, negotiate other commercial terms and negotiate legal terms together with lawyers, build up constructive relationship with suppliers
• Collaborate with Reginal and Global Commodity Managers Have close communication with Regional and Global Commodity Manager to understand and implement commodity strategy, early involve Regional and Global Commodity Manager in the coming projects and ensure the alignment
• Strategic tasks Actively participate in strategic projects, department strategy etc., contribute initiatives and feedback, execute accordingly
• Guarantee the compliance conformity of the purchasing activities and their alignment with the procurement guidelines, company rules and external regulations
• Education Bachelor/Master degree in universities.
• Language Fluent English and Chinese both in oral and business writing. German is a plus.
• Experience
• Working experience in multinational company
• At least 5 years of working experience in the field of indirect purchasing, direct purchasing, supply chain management or other related industries. Experience in IT and RD commodities is a plus.
