Senior CAD Design Engineer - Powertrain & E-Mobility Components

What to expect:

• Develop engineering concepts for mechanical components and assemblies within conventional and electrified powertrain systems
• Create 3D CAD models and technical drawings using CATIA V5
• Ensure manufacturability, geometric integration, serviceability, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Coordinate with packaging, simulation, manufacturing, supplier, and project teams
• Perform design studies and evaluate alternative concepts
• Support design reviews and technical discussions with customers and stakeholders
• Manage changes and continuously improve component designs during development phases

The position may involve the design and integration of:

• Exhaust systems and exhaust components
• Air intake systems and ducting
• Cast housings for electric machines
• Cast housings for power electronics units
• Drive shafts and powertrain components
• Plastic covers and protective components
• Brackets, mounting systems, and structural parts
• E-mobility and high-voltage related mechanical components

What you bring along:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive mechanical design
• Proven experience in the independent development of at least one complex automotive component or assembly
• Experience throughout the complete product development cycle from concept design to production release

Technical Skills :

• Excellent CATIA V5 knowledge
• Advanced CATIA V5 Shape Design expertise (essential requirement)
• Part Design
• Assembly Design
• Drafting and GD&T
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Geometric Integration and Packaging
• Teamcenter, ENOVIA, or similar PDM systems
• FMEA knowledge
• Tolerance analysis
• Automotive development processes
• Experience with electric drive units, e-motors, or power electronics packaging
