About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join our growing team at our Cheras Batu 9 office in Selangor. This is a full-time position that offers a significant opportunity to lead and drive civil and structural engineering projects whilst contributing to the strategic direction of our company. As a Senior C&S Engineer, you will take on a leadership role, overseeing project delivery, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and mentoring junior team members. This position is crucial to maintain our reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Positions Available:

1. Senior Civil Engineer – Minimum 10 years’ experience
2. Senior Structural Engineer – Minimum 10 years’ experience

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and oversee civil and structural engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to contract, specifications, budgets and timelines
• Conduct engineers structural analysis and design calculations using industry-standard software and methodologies to ensure safety and compliance with relevant codes and standards
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specification, reports and documentation for design proposals, tender submissions and regulatory approvals
• Lead site inspections and monitor site supervision team to ensure construction work complies with contract, approved specification designs and quality standards
• Collaborate with client, other professional, contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and deliver optimal solutions
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance on project execution and professional development
• Review shop drawing, technical submission, engineering calculations, drawings and specifications produced by team members
• Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, regulations and safety requirements
• Prepare cost estimates, material specifications and project schedules to support project planning and resource allocation
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies and regulatory changes in civil and structural engineering
• Monitor engineering deliverables and meet project deadline

What we're looking for

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil and structural engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
• Registered with BEM as Graduate Engineer; Professional Engineer status is an advantage
• Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant engineering/design software
• Demonstrated experience in managing building projects, Lead infrastructure development or similar large-scale civil engineering undertakings
• In-depth knowledge of relevant Malaysian building codes, standards and regulations
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop engineering staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, other professionals and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in managing complex engineering challenges
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling)
