Senior Care Assistant

Job Summary

We at Havendene are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant mainly for night shifts to join our vibrant care home team. Duties

• Deliver personalized care to residents, supporting their daily activities and promoting independence
• Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery
• Develop, review, and update individual care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
• Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety standards
• Maintain clear communication with residents, families, and team members to ensure seamless care coordination
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold the dignity of all residents
• Support residents with mobility needs, including assisting with transfers and using mobility aids when necessary

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a care home or senior care environment
• Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare setting
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
• Valid driving license is preferred for supporting resident outings or errands
• Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and IT systems used in healthcare settings
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts to meet the needs of residents and the team
• Demonstrated caring attitude with excellent interpersonal skills

Pay: From £13.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
