Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking an Experienced and passionate Senior Care Assistant

to support the registered Manager by providing leadership and guidance to our care staff and act as a champion for residents’ safety and dignity, ensuring that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice.

Ensure that residents are encouraged and supported to remain as independent and active as possible, in a happy, homely atmosphere.

Support the care team with training and carry out competency assessments. Supervise care staff on a day to day basis and through formal supervision processes.

Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and clinical support they require.

To be responsible for the safe and appropriate management, administration and recording of medication.

Conduct and document care and risk assessments and develop care plans related to the assessed needs and choices of individual residents.

Be knowledgeable about Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Policies and Procedures.

Understand the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (2008) in relation to consent and best interest decision making.

Salary: £14.20/hour depending on experience
