Senior Civil Engineer

Ashley & Vance Engineering is looking for Senior Civil Engineers to join our team in our San Luis Obispo, CA office location.

Job Responsibilities

• Design & Technical Execution: Perform drafting, engineering design, and technical calculations across at least two key areas of civil engineering, such as stormwater, water/hydraulics, sewer, or drafting.
• Project Leadership: Take the lead on diverse projects, including commercial and residential developments, infrastructure improvements, and large-scale public works projects.
• Engineering Judgment: Make sound engineering judgment calls independently or with input from an Engineer of Record (EOR).
• Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate and coordinate effectively with external consultants and clients.
• Project Management: Manage project schedules, deliverable timelines, and workflow progress.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 6+ years of experience in civil engineering.
• Specialization: Experience in at least two key areas of civil engineering (stormwater, water/hydraulics, sewer, or drafting).
• Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
