Senior Civil Engineer

The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established, highly regarded multidisciplinary engineering consultancy looking to appoint x2 Senior Civil Engineers to join their growing teams in Derby and Leicester.

With over 25 years of experience delivering successful projects across the UK, this consultancy has built an excellent reputation in civil, structural and infrastructure engineering, working across residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer, or an ambitious Engineer ready to step up into a Senior position, to take greater ownership of projects, develop technically and progress within a supportive, established business.

The Role

You'll be involved in the design and delivery of a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ranging from smaller residential developments to major commercial and industrial schemes valued up to £30m.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design of highways, drainage, SuDS and external works infrastructure.
• Preparation of Section 38 and Section 104 adoption designs.
• Producing detailed engineering drawings and technical design packages.
• Using AutoCAD, Civil 3D/PDS and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and external stakeholders.
• Supporting project delivery, resource planning and junior engineers.
• Taking increasing responsibility for projects from concept through to detailed design.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Ideally 3–5+ years' experience within civil/infrastructure design.
• Experience designing drainage, highways and external works for development projects.
• Strong AutoCAD capabilities.
• Experience with Civil 3D or PDS, alongside MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage.
• Knowledge of SuDS, S38/S104 agreements and relevant design standards.
• Strong communication skills and an ambition to develop professionally.

You don't necessarily need to hold a Senior title already. Engineers with the right technical experience who are ready to take the next step are encouraged to apply!
