Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will design and own the cloud infrastructure that runs Dvxel's AI platform, from day-one deployment through enterprise-grade scale. These are real architecture decisions: multi-tenant isolation, SOC2-aligned security, cost-optimised Fargate deployments, and CI/CD that ships code. You will build our infrastructure foundations.

You will work directly with the Product Lead and our Tech Lead. The Tech Lead sets reliability standards and engineering practices. You build and run the infrastructure, pipelines, observability, and incident response that meet them.

This role is for someone who has already owned production infrastructure. Engineers who have only run deployments or tickets against someone else's design will not meet the bar.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Cloud architecture: Scalable, secure, SOC2-aligned AWS architecture, including multi-tenant isolation, designed and built from the ground up
• Infrastructure as code: Everything in Terraform, with no manual console provisioning
• Containers: Containerised workloads on ECS Fargate, and the move to Kubernetes as workloads grow
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions pipelines for zero-downtime deployments
• Observability and incidents: Monitoring, alerting, and incident response using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Security: IAM, VPC segmentation, Secrets Manager, WAF, and GuardDuty
• Cost: You own the AWS bill and manage it actively, including the cost of AI and inference workloads
• AI workloads: Infrastructure for LLM applications, including AWS Bedrock access and hosting for vector databases

MINIMUM

• 5+ years of DevOps and cloud infrastructure experience
• 2+ years owning production AWS infrastructure for a multi-tenant or high-traffic SaaS
• Have designed and built infrastructure end to end in Terraform, not only maintained it
• Genuine depth across core AWS services, and can explain your architecture and its trade-offs
• Strong knowledge of network security, VPC design, and IAM policy construction
• Have been accountable for uptime, incident response, and cost on a production system

PREFERRED

• SOC2 or similar compliance experience
• Kubernetes in production, since we expect to move larger workloads there as we scale
• Experience with AI or LLM workloads on AWS, including Bedrock
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
