Senior Cloud Architect

With offices in Lisbon, Óbidos, Brussels, Madrid, and Barcelona, we are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to act as the technical architecture reference for a large-scale account, operating in a mission-critical 24x7 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve multi-cloud reference architectures across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including landing zones and resilience patterns.
• Establish cloud governance policies, guardrails, tagging models, access controls and compliance standards.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud migrations and projects, defining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards using Terraform and delivery standards through CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead root cause analysis activities, cloud cost and performance optimisation, and technical debt reduction.
• Develop cloud roadmaps, assess new technologies and support technology investment decisions.

Critical Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in IT, including at least 6 years in enterprise and mission-critical cloud architecture.
• Strong experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure, with deep knowledge of cloud networking, identity, security and data services.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience working in 24x7 operational environments with formal SLAs and ITIL-based practices.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Qualifications

• Professional-level cloud architecture certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Additional Skills

• FinOps certification and security certifications are considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Jira Service Management, Dynatrace, GitHub and GitHub Copilot, Jenkins and SonarQube is considered an advantage.

Language Skills

• Fluent Portuguese and professional working proficiency in English.
