(Senior) Cloud Engineer (Bank; Multi-cloud)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize our multi-cloud infrastructure, cloud engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. In this role, you will strategically design Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and maintain standard catalogs for public cloud services across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud, while enabling the integration of AI and Data Platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code & Multi-Cloud Architecture: Lead the design of Terraform modules, cloud security baselines, and foundational layers for multi-cloud workloads.
• Cloud Networking & Landing Zones: Architect, configure, and maintain robust landing zone architectures and enterprise-grade cloud networking solutions to support secure, seamless connectivity.
• Architecture & Root Cause Analysis: Perform architectural reviews and root cause analyses for complex technical issues; establish standards for security baselines, compliance, fault resilience, and disaster recovery.
• Data & AI Integration: Review data/AI architecture patterns and oversee seamless integrations using tooling such as Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Kafka, BigQuery, Dataflow, DLP / Model Armor, and Vertex AI.
• Security & Governance: Regularly evaluate and enforce Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), container security, and cloud compliance frameworks across all environments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with application teams and key stakeholders to define and implement best practices in multi-cloud architecture, deployment, governance, and project management.

Requirements

• Education: Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Cloud Experience: 5+ years of experience in public cloud implementation and architecture (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Alibaba Cloud).
• Terraform / IaC: 3+ years of hands-on experience using Terraform for automated cloud resource provisioning.
• Technical Expertise: Deep technical command of cloud networking, landing zone design, cloud/AI security frameworks, IAM, DevOps pipelines, and centralized monitoring/logging.
• Communication & Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese to articulate technical designs to DevOps, security, compliance, and leadership teams.

(Note: Candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for the Senior Cloud Engineer title.)
