Senior Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on experience in production environments, cloud infrastructure, Windows/Linux servers, IIS, networking, security, and load balancing.

The ideal candidate should be able to troubleshoot complex production issues, identify root causes, and ensure high levels of availability, security, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure and production servers.
• Provision, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage IIS and ASP.NET Core production environments.
• Configure and manage cloud networking, including VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, and firewalls.
• Manage Security Groups / NSGs and network access controls.
• Configure and maintain Load Balancers and traffic distribution.
• Manage public/private IPs, DNS, domains, and SSL/TLS certificates.
• Apply server hardening and security best practices.
• Secure RDP and remote access.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance analysis.
• Manage backup, restore, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Perform server patching, maintenance, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot connectivity between applications, servers, and databases.
• Handle production incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Troubleshoot performance across the full stack:

Load Balancer → IIS → Application → Database

• Manage Development, Testing, Staging, and Production environments.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and operational procedures.
• Monitor infrastructure health and proactively identify potential failures.
• Ensure cloud availability, reliability, security, and resource optimization.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs where applicable.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
• Strong experience with IIS and ASP.NET Core hosting.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, routing, subnets, firewalls, and network security.
• Practical experience with Load Balancers.
• Strong understanding of SSL/TLS and certificate management.
• Good understanding of SQL Server connectivity and troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-management skills.
• Ability to analyze logs, metrics, traces, and technical evidence.
• Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Ability to work under pressure during production incidents.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: E£15,000.00 - E£25,000.00 per month
