Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure. Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and Cloudformation to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources. Collaborate with development and project teams to identify and implement cloud-based solutions that meet application, business and security needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS and Azure
• Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and Cloudformation to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources
• Collaborate with development and project teams to identify and implement cloud-based solutions that meet application, business and security needs
• Implement CI/CD pipelines that incorporate security measures following DevSecOps principles
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and security, responding to incidents and alerts as necessary
• Conduct regular assessments of cloud architectures to identify areas for optimization and improvement
• Document cloud architecture, processes, and best practices for development and operation teams
• Provide technical support and guidance for cloud-related queries and issues
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and DevSecOps

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5-6 years proven experience with cloud services on AWS/Azure, including architecture design and implementation
• Strong proficiency in IaC tools: Terraform, Bicep and Cloudformation
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Powershell) for automation tasks
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for cloud environment
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps practices, tools, and methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and risk management
