Senior Cnc Programmer

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior CNC Programmer with deep experience programming and setting up complex 3 to 5 axis machined parts. This is not a production job shop role every part is different, tolerances are tight, and the expectation is that you bring both technical mastery and engineering instinct to the floor every day. You will work closely with our engineering customers and internal team to take parts from print to first article.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex CNC programs using Master CAM /Fusion 360 software for various machining operations such as milling and turning.

• Program complex 3 to 5 axis parts from customer CAD models and engineering drawings

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production processes and meet quality standards.

• Develop prototypes and prototype development plans to validate new designs and concepts.

• Ensure compliance with tolerances and specifications by monitoring production runs and making necessary adjustments.

• Troubleshoot issues related to CNC programming, machine operation, or product quality.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 10-20 years of experience in CNC programming (Fanuc Control) with expertise in CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Prototyping, Prototyping & Production Development.

• Preferred candidates with Aerospace/Medical high precision background

• Strong understanding of Master CAM software for designing complex CNC programs.

• Ability to work independently on projects from concept to completion while meeting tight deadlines.

• Hands-on experience with Kitamura, Nakumura machining centers

• Proficiency in Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent CAM software

• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances (0.0005 or better) on prototype and low-volume work

• Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings and 3D models

• Experience in aerospace, medical device, robotics, or similarly demanding industries

• Comfortable working at a fast pace with shifting priorities and short lead times

• Experience machining exotic materials: titanium, stainless steel, hardened steel, engineering plastics

• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 13485, or ITAR requirements

• Background in a prototype or R&D machine shop environment
