Senior Commercial Analyst

You'll join an energetic, entrepreneurial, collaborative team and will play a critical role in supporting commercial strategy, profitability and long-term growth initiatives. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll act as a trusted commercial partner to the business, providing financial analysis, modelling and insights that support key commercial decisions with genuine exposure to senior stakeholders across all areas of the business.

This is far more than a reporting role - think exposure to pricing, tenders, profitability, strategic planning and forecasting, helping leaders understand financial outcomes and identify opportunities for growth and performance improvement. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with commercial and operational stakeholders to provide actionable financial insights/recommendations
• Lead complex financial modelling, scenario analysis and strategic decision support
• Support pricing reviews, tender submissions and contract evaluations
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and Integrated Business Planning activities
• Prepare monthly performance reporting and variance analysis
• Develop and enhance commercial reporting tools, dashboards and models
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, reporting enhancements and improved data quality
• Support key business transformation initiatives, including ERP and systems improvements

You'll need to bring a strong blend of analytical capability, commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.

About you: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics
• CA or CPA qualification completed (essential)
• 5+ years' experience within Commercial Finance, FP&A, Finance Business Partnering or a similar analytical role
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
• Experience supporting commercial decision-making through business cases, scenario modelling and profitability analysis
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
• Experience using tools such as SAP, Power BI or similar reporting and analytical platforms

• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, FMCG or other operationally complex environment
