The Opportunity
Our client, a leading industrial construction contractor, is seeking an experienced Energy Marshal to support large-scale hyperscale data center projects. This critical role oversees Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazardous energy control, electrical safety, system isolation, and energization activities throughout construction and commissioning.
If you have extensive experience with mission-critical facilities, electrical safety, and commissioning, this is an opportunity to help deliver some of the country's most advanced data center projects safely and successfully.
What You'll Do
- Lead and enforce the project's Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous energy control program.
- Develop and review energy isolation plans and coordinate electrical and mechanical isolations.
- Support commissioning, startup, integrated systems testing (IST), and phased building turnover.
- Coordinate planned energizations and verify equipment readiness, testing, and documentation.
- Review switching procedures, electrical one-line diagrams, and energized work permits.
- Conduct field audits, maintain energization logs, and ensure OSHA and NFPA 70E compliance.
- Partner with project management, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client representatives during critical energization events.
- Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions exist.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of electrical construction, commissioning, industrial operations, or mission-critical experience.
- 5+ years leading Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) or hazardous energy control programs.
- Experience supporting hyperscale data centers, industrial EPC, semiconductor, petrochemical, power generation, or similar facilities.
- Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution.
- Ability to interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, P&IDs, and commissioning documentation.
- OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, and Authorized Lockout/Tagout training required.
Why It's Worth It
- Work on industry-leading hyperscale data center projects.
- Join a collaborative team focused on safety and operational excellence.
- Competitive compensation with opportunities to support high-profile, mission-critical construction projects.
- Long-term career growth within a respected industrial contractor.
