Senior Commissioning Engineer

We're recruiting for a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join a major data centre site.

About the Role

You'll lead commissioning and testing of the controls and automation systems, working across MEP, IT, and Construction teams to keep milestones on track.

Responsibilities:

• Directing the development and deployment of PLC/HMI applications, including design review and sign-off
• Owning remote troubleshooting and escalation of PLC, SCADA, network and other control system issues
• Leading coordination of milestones across MEP, IT and Construction teams, mostly through remote programme calls and reporting
• Overseeing PLC/HMI updates and testing in staging and live environments, with change control
• Leading commissioning and testing at key onsite phases, through to integrated systems testing and handover
• Leading BAS remediation and routine maintenance with Site Operations
• Mentoring junior engineers and setting standards for the team

Required Skills:

• 8+ years in industrial automation, with a strong focus on commissioning
• Proven experience leading commissioning on mission-critical environments, ideally data centres
• Strong hands-on experience with Rockwell SCADA systems
• Experience coordinating contractors and multiple disciplines
