Senior Communication Specialist

About the role

Responsible for the planning, development and execution of all aspects of site communications, such as but not limited to internal and external communications, employees communication, communications support, corporate public relations, media relations, special events and community relations activities.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and plan creative strategies for all internal and external communications by understanding the primary needs of employees, the media, and the community.

• Plan overall site communication strategy by consulting with management to ensure that all communication executed by the company is aligned with the company's vision, mission and corporate strategy.

• Develop proactive social media strategy for the site and manage campaigns on social media networks: LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, etc.

• Plan the direction of internal publications includes videos by setting overall goals, philosophies and editorial guidelines to ensure excellence in employee communication.

• Work closely with management to support speeches writing, offering guidance and planning strategies to implement responses to issues that affect the company, its employees and its standing in the community and industry.

• Perform communications best practice research and be able to effectively convey information learned to other members of the team.

• Act as site communications liaison to support multiple teams throughout organization for activities of the team and ensure the consistency and effectiveness of communication from the team to their intended audiences.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications or equivalent.
• 8-10 years of experience in Communications or related fields.
• Proven experience in ESG/CSR project management.
• Media relations or media exposure experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good command of both English and Malay.
• Skills in video editing, photo editing, and graphic/layout design are an advantage.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible, adaptable, and a fast learner.
