Senior Communications Executive

This position is open to applicants based in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia.

Position Summary

The incumbent will assist in developing and deploying corporate communications, employee engagement and sustainability initiatives to support the organisation’s business strategy and communication efforts. The primary role is to ensure effective and consistent communications among Group members and internal/external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Social media management

• Write, edit and proofread various types of content on appropriate communication channels, including blog posts, email announcements, social media and website copy.
• Create visually appealing and engaging content, such as infographics, videos and presentations.
• Ensure content is accurate and aligned with brand guidelines; information is factual and valid.
• Work collaboratively with key team members and/or subject matter experts to gather information and insights for content creation.

Business Unit collaboration

• Assist colleagues from assigned BU including marketers in identifying content pillars and curating a social media content strategy.
• Ensure a consistent content pipeline that can be cross-shared with the Group by working closely with key content contributors or project owners.
• Ensure consistency in posting and adherence to the overall brand guidelines.
• Develop a tone and voice for community management to align with the brand and audience.

Employee experience

• Assist in timely implementation of planned employee initiatives, working closely with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, HR and marketing colleagues.
• Ensure consistent messaging and communication across all internal channels.
• Conduct research and analyse data to assess communication effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

External public relations

• Assist in managing external stakeholders to ensure communications projects are delivered within timeline and budget, e.g. creative and media agencies, media partners, production houses, event managers.
• Provide guidance and support to executives and other stakeholders on communication matters.

Sustainability

• Assist in sustainability reporting and other sustainability-related initiatives

Job Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications (Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent)
• At least 4 years of relevant in-house or agency experience in corporate/marketing/internal communications, advertising, event management and public relations
• Experienced in ideation, breaking complex elements into achievable milestones, datelines, managing change and delivering impactful results.
• Experience in digital communications (social media and website) planning, analytics and reporting
• media management tools, website content management systems, and email marketing software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks on a daily basis in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Demonstrated resilient. A self-starter with a positive mindset and strong drive for results.
• Critical thinking, strong writing and research skills, curiosity, resourcefulness, planning and problem-solving skills
• Confidence and strong communications skills to work with colleagues across all levels and nationalities of the organization.
• Able to navigate complexity, ambiguity and open to experiment new ways of working.
