About Orion Capital Solutions
Orion Capital Solutions is a third-party debt collection agency founded in 2018, specializing in consumer accounts. Our team of roughly 60 people — including about 50 collectors — works out of Orchard Park, NY and Fort Myers, FL, and we are nationally licensed. Orion is an RMAI Certified agency and maintains SOC 2 Type 2 certification.
We are growing fast, and we are hiring a Senior Compliance Manager to run our compliance management system day-to-day and keep us ahead of a regulatory environment that gets more demanding every year.
Our core values guide how we work: Reliability, Discipline, Optimism, Helpfulness, and Respect.
The Role
The Senior Compliance Manager reports to the CEO and owns the execution and continuous improvement of Orion's compliance program. You will be the company's go-to expert on collection law and regulation, the primary point of contact for client audits and regulatory inquiries, and the person who makes sure our growth never outruns our controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain Orion's Compliance Management System: policies, procedures, internal controls, and testing/monitoring programs
- Ensure compliance with the FDCPA, Regulation F, TCPA, FCRA, GLBA/Regulation P, and applicable state collection statutes and rules
- Manage multi-state licensing: applications, renewals, surety bonds, and statutory reporting
- Lead client audits, due-diligence questionnaires, and regulatory examinations; own Orion's RMAI certification maintenance and SOC 2 audit readiness
- Oversee the consumer complaint program — CFPB portal, BBB, and state AG complaints — including root-cause analysis, remediation, and trend reporting to leadership
- Direct the call-monitoring and QA program; partner with Operations to coach and correct based on findings
- Build and deliver compliance training for collectors, supervisors, and support staff (onboarding and annual refreshers)
- Oversee compliance for communication channels and vendors — dialer, AI-driven email/SMS, and payment platforms — including consent management and opt-out handling
- Monitor federal and state regulatory developments (CFPB, FCC, state legislatures and regulators) and translate changes into operational action
- Partner with outside counsel on disputes, litigation support, and regulatory matters
- Report compliance risks, audit results, and remediation status directly to executive leadership
Qualifications
- 5+ years of compliance experience in accounts receivable management, third-party collections, or consumer financial services; supervisory or team-lead experience is a plus
- Deep working knowledge of the FDCPA, Regulation F, and TCPA, plus multi-state collection agency licensing requirements
- Direct experience with client audits and at least one of: RMAI certification or SOC 2 audit processes
- Proven experience managing consumer complaint response programs (CFPB/BBB/AG)
- Strong policy-writing skills — able to turn regulation into clear, usable procedure for a production floor
- Sound judgment and the confidence to stop a practice when it creates risk, paired with the practicality to find a compliant way to get the work done
- No degree requirement — hands-on ARM compliance experience counts more than credentials here. CRCP or other compliance certifications are a plus
- Experience with collection platforms (e.g., InterProse ACE), dialers, and AI communication tools is a plus
What We Offer
- Competitive salary: $80,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k)
- Paid time off and holidays
- A leadership seat at a growing agency — your work will directly shape how the company scales
