Senior Construction Defect Technical Claims Specialist

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Construction Defect Technical Claims Specialist to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will focus on the adjudication of complex construction defect claims, with an emphasis on thorough investigation, sound judgment, and effective resolution strategies.

You will manage high-exposure claims through litigation, analyze emerging claim trends, and partner with senior leadership to support informed decisions and cost-effective outcomes.

The position also requires strong communication and relationship-building skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders and drive timely claim resolution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $137,496 – $164,934 annually

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate complex construction defect claims with minimal oversight
• Conduct detailed investigations and analyses to resolve undefined issues
• Report on claims trends and developments to senior management
• Manage claims in litigation and ensure timely resolution
• Negotiate complex settlement packages to achieve cost-effective outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of experience adjudicating construction defect claims with exposure of $100,000 or more
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in commercial general liability claims
• Licenses in multiple jurisdictions, with the ability to obtain additional licenses within three months of hire
• Strong business acumen and understanding of insurance profitability
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
