Senior Construction Manager / Site Superintendent

Job Overview
Custom Metal Contracting (Glazing Group) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Senior Site Superintendent to oversee the installation of complex architectural glazing projects.

We specialize in the design assist, fabrication, and installation of curtain wall, window wall, storefront systems, aluminum entrances , skylights, and specialty glazing systems for commercial, institutional, mixed-use residential, healthcare, educational, and high-rise construction projects..

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
• Manage glazing installation crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinate site logistics with general contractors, consultants, and owners.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and installation details.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts and constructability issues.
• Coordinate material deliveries and manpower requirements.
• Monitor productivity and quality control standards.
• Ensure compliance with provincial safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction supervision or project management experience.
• Strong experience with:
• Curtain Wall Systems
• Window Wall Systems
• Storefront & Entrance Systems
• Architectural Glazing
• Building Envelope Construction
• Unitized and Stick-Built Systems
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
• Extensive experience coordinating with general contractors and project stakeholders.
• Proven leadership skills with large field crews and multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and communication abilities.

• High-rise residential projects.

• Design-build or design-assist projects.
• Off-site fabrication and modular construction environments.
