Senior Construction Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead the project and construction management function for one of our managed property accounts — overseeing all ongoing construction, renovation, and improvement projects across managed properties. You'll manage multiple projects and contractors simultaneously, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee construction, renovation, and improvement projects across managed properties, from scoping to turnover
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
• Source, evaluate, and manage contractors and suppliers, including bidding and contract negotiation
• Ensure compliance with building permits, codes, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor quality and safety standards on-site
• Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and cost overruns
• Coordinate with the Property Management team on project-leasing alignment
• Prepare regular project status reports for the General Manager
• Conduct site inspections and support due diligence for new property acquisitions
• Mentor junior project staff or site coordinators

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
• Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect is an advantage
• 5-7 years of experience in construction/project management, with 2-3 years in a senior/lead role
• Proven track record delivering construction/renovation projects on time and within budget
• Strong knowledge of building codes, permits, and regulatory compliance
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Background in property management, real estate development, or general contracting
• Proficient in project management tools
• Strong negotiation, budgeting, and cost-control skills
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
