Location: Southern California

Compensation: $170,000 - $200,000 base salary

About the Role

We are partnering with a general contracting company seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead projects from planning and preconstruction through completion.

This role will bring together the financial, contractual, and delivery needs of each project. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with superintendents, owners, design teams, and subcontractors to maintain progress, resolve issues, and keep commitments visible.

The ideal candidate is an experienced general contracting professional who takes ownership of project outcomes, builds productive relationships, and helps teams make timely decisions.

What You'll Do

• Lead project planning and execution, establishing responsibilities, milestones, communication practices, and delivery priorities.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, commitments, billing, and change management with clear visibility into financial performance.
• Partner with the superintendent to develop and monitor schedules, coordinate procurement, and address constraints affecting field progress.
• Oversee subcontractor scope review, buyout, contract administration, and performance throughout the project.
• Coordinate requests for information, submittals, design clarifications, and approvals to support timely construction decisions.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, consultants, and trade partners.
• Work with field and safety leaders to address quality concerns, construction risks, and corrective actions.
• Guide project engineers and other team members, maintaining reliable documentation and accountability for follow-through.
• Manage closeout, including punch-list coordination, turnover documentation, warranties, and final financial reconciliation.

What We're Looking For

• Senior project management experience delivering construction projects for a general contractor.
• Experience managing project finances, contracts, change orders, subcontractors, and client relationships.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement, scheduling, and coordination across trades.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and resolve scope or coordination issues with design and field teams.
• Proficiency with construction project management systems, scheduling tools, and financial reporting.
• Leadership skills, clear communication, and a practical approach to resolving competing project priorities.
