Position: Senior Consultant – Outsourced Accounting & Review

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Consultant to manage outsourced accounting activities for assigned clients. The role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, performing reconciliations, reviewing client accounts, and supporting tax, audit, and other financial compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, good attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records and update accounting systems such as Zoho Books.
• Record and verify sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
• Perform bank, cash, accounts receivable, and accounts payable reconciliations.
• Review accounting entries and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, and other management reports.
• Monitor receivables and payables and follow up on outstanding balances where required.
• Review client accounts and identify discrepancies, missing entries, unusual transactions, and accounting issues.
• Ensure monthly accounts are properly reviewed and closed within the agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain missing documents, information, and necessary clarifications.
• Support Corporate Tax, WHT, Contract Declaration, Excise Tax, Transfer Pricing, Audit, and other financial compliance requirements.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and ensure the confidentiality and security of client financial information.
• Coordinate with senior accountants and reviewers and escalate accounting issues, discrepancies, and potential risks.
• Provide accounting-related support and clarification to clients when required.
• Ensure all assigned client accounts and tasks are completed accurately and within the specified deadlines.
• Assist in improving accounting processes and maintaining consistent accounting standards across assigned client portfolios.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, outsourced accounting, or a similar role.
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books or similar accounting software.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end closing.
• Basic knowledge of tax, WHT, audit, Transfer Pricing, and other financial compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and work within strict deadlines.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with outsourced accounting or multiple client accounts.
• Experience in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Ability to identify accounting discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with senior accountants and reviewers.

Pay: QAR30,000.00 - QAR400,000.00 per year
