Senior Container Governance Engineer (AKS)

Are you an experienced Container Security Engineer with strong expertise in Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and container governance?

At Akkodis , we are looking for a Senior Container Governance Engineer to join an exciting project supporting ABN AMRO in Amstelveen.

In this role, you will focus on securing, governing, and optimizing container environments, ensuring that container images meet the highest security, compliance, and operational standards.

What will you be doing?

• Manage container image governance and security within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Implement Docker image scanning, vulnerability management, and image hardening.
• Define and enforce container security and deployment policies.
• Integrate security scanning and policy enforcement into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage container registries such as Azure Container Registry (ACR), Nexus, and Artifactory.
• Oversee container image release management, versioning, promotion, and lifecycle management.
• Implement and manage static and runtime security scanning tools.
• Build and maintain compliant container images using industry-standard tools.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and container security best practices.

What are we looking for?

• Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Expertise in container image scanning, vulnerability management, and container security.
• Practical experience with Sysdig and/or Aqua Security.
• Experience integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of container registries, including ACR, Nexus, and Artifactory.
• Experience with container image hardening and release management.
• Good understanding of container security standards and governance.
• Knowledge of Sentinel.

Nice to have

• Understanding of software supply chain security and container lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, .NET, Go, Rust, or C++.
