scouted. is partnering with a family-owned Melbourne development and construction business with more than two decades in the market and an impressive pipeline of business park projects. This group builds everything they develop, with the client being their own in-house industrial development arm. They run a lean and nimble team where staff consistently describe the office as a genuinely good place to work.

THE ROLE

This newly created position manages the commercial and contractual side of the business’s industrial projects, from procurement through to final accounts. You’ll report directly to the Managing Director and the Construction Manager, and enjoy true scope to set how contract administration is run across the group's Industrial Portfolio.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Leading subcontractor and supplier procurement, from tender packages through to award
• Administering head contracts and subcontracts, including notices and extensions of time
• Assessing subcontractor progress claims and preparing head contract claims
• Pricing, negotiating and managing variations, tracking contractual and programme risk
• Preparing cost reports, forecasts and cash flows for senior leadership

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• At least five years as a Contract Administrator with a Melbourne head contractor
• Industrial Warehouse (heavily regarded) or Logistics construction experience
• Strong grounding in procurement, cost management and contract variations
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field
• A career CA who loves what they do & can work independently as well as collaboratively
