Senior Contract Specialists (Multiple roles) - Perth CBD - Mining

Talent International is recruiting an experienced Contract Specialist to join one of our major mining clients and support the commercial delivery of a significant capital project.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development, coordination, evaluation and execution of tender packages for construction contracts, equipment and services.
• Ensure procurement and contracting activities align with project objectives, schedules and compliance requirements.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing and commercial positions to achieve appropriate risk profiles and value outcomes.
• Draft clear contract terms, pricing schedules and supporting commercial documentation.
• Prepare contract award recommendations and documentation for internal approvals and execution.
• Administer contracts post-award, including claims management, payment claim assessments, correspondence, variations and close-out.
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors across multiple work packages.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks throughout the procurement and contract lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of project-related contracting and procurement experience within mining, infrastructure, oil and gas or comparable capital projects.
• Exposure to Civils, NPI, SMP and EIC construction work packages.
• Tertiary qualification in law, commerce, engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or similar, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Sound capability in contract negotiation, administration and claims management.
• Understanding of project delivery models, construction contracts and commercial risk allocation.
• High attention to detail with the ability to produce clear, accurate and commercially robust documentation.
• Proactive, accountable and outcome-focused approach with the ability to work independently and contribute to high-performing teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
