Senior Contracts Administrator

About the Opportunity

Great opportunity for an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join a well respected commercial builder delivering high-quality projects across Canberra.

Working closely with Project Managers and site teams, you will play a key role in the successful financial and contractual management of projects from procurement through to completion. This position suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking ownership, and wants to be part of a collaborative and ambitious team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, and financial reporting
• Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontract agreements
• Assess and process subcontractor claims and variations
• Lead procurement activities and package letting
• Monitor project costs, risks, and contractual compliance
• Assist Project Managers with project delivery and commercial strategy
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure accurate project documentation and reporting throughout delivery

About You

• 7+ years’ experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction
• Proven experience delivering projects in Australia
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes
• Excellent financial and cost management skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar preferred
