Senior Contracts Administrator | Lower North Shore

McConnell Dowell is looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our NSW team and play a key role in the commercial delivery of a major infrastructure project on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

About the role Reporting to the project’s commercial leadership, you will take responsibility for the financial and contractual management of your assigned area, protecting commercial outcomes while building strong relationships across the project team and subcontractor network.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing subcontract procurement, negotiations, variations, claims and contract close-out.
• Monitoring project costs, financial reporting, risks and commercial opportunities.
• Ensuring head contract and subcontract obligations are understood and managed.
• Supporting and mentoring other contract administration personnel.
• Working closely with project and commercial leaders to drive effective commercial outcomes.

About you You are an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator with sound commercial judgement, strong negotiation skills and the confidence to take ownership of your work.

You will bring:

• At least five years’ experience in construction or infrastructure contract administration.
• Demonstrated experience managing subcontractor claims, variations and procurement.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills and the ability to resolve contractual issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or substantial industry experience.
