This is a Fixed Term Position (18 months) based in Menangle approximately 70 kilometres south of Sydney.

As the Senior Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for providing commercial leadership across a major operational project portfolio. Acting as the single point of accountability for contract integrity, you will oversee contract administration, claims and variations management, payment claim verification, commercial risk, dispute resolution processes and strategic commercial outcomes.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Lead all contract administration activities, ensuring contractual obligations, notices and timeframes are effectively managed.
• Manage claims, variations, extensions of time and payment claim verification processes.
• Collaborate with project controls teams to forecast costs, monitor commercial performance and improve project outcomes.
• Champion contract compliance, governance requirements and commercial risk management.
• Coach and support project teams to strengthen commercial acumen and contractual discipline.

ABOUT YOU

You are a seasoned commercial professional who thrives in complex project environments and can influence stakeholders at all levels through practical, outcome-focused advice

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Leading contract or commercial management functions on major construction, infrastructure, manufacturing or resources projects.
• Managing complex claims, variations and commercial negotiations.
• Delivering strong commercial outcomes while balancing business risk and stakeholder relationships.
• Applying high levels of attention to detail, commercial judgement and integrity.
• Building capability within project teams through coaching and guidance

Qualifications, skills, and competencies:

• Tertiary qualification in Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Commerce.
• Postgraduate qualification in Construction Law or Dispute Resolution highly regarded.
• 10+ years' experience in contract or commercial management.
• Experience in major projects with contract values exceeding $250 million.
• Understanding of cost reimbursable contracts and project commercial governance
